[Product Description]
Silver bangle by Herman Vandever.
Known as a silversmith of the Navajo tribe, he is an artist who specializes in inorganic and modern design work while based on traditional techniques.
This piece features a wide body with finely engraved basketweave patterns. The uniform and intricate engravings are handmade, creating three-dimensional shadows depending on how the light hits them.
The plain surfaces on both sides create a striking contrast with the engravings. The overall result is a very well-balanced finish.
The heavy silver and natural tarnishing over time combine to create a calm atmosphere, which is also one of its charms.
Despite its substantial width, it is a piece with excellent design.
Although there are fine scratches and blackening characteristic of silver due to age, it is in very good condition.
