Studded belts produced between the 1930s and 1950s are now rare items, with only dozens appearing on the market each year.
In 1994, after going independent, owner ZIP STEVENSON encountered the studded belt, the perfect match for denim, through his buying trips across the United States.
However, the supply in terms of size, quantity, and condition was insufficient to meet customer demand.
So, using tools and jewelry from that era, he began hammering. After a year, he created a belt with a handmade feel that satisfied him and evoked 70 years of history. This was the beginning of ZIP and the belt.
