Studded belts were produced from the 1930s to the 1950s. They are now rare items, with only a few dozen circulating in the market each year.
In 1994, after going independent, owner ZIP STEVENSON discovered studded belts, the perfect match for denim, through buying trips across the United States.
However, he couldn't acquire enough of them to meet customer demand in terms of size, quantity, or condition.
So, using tools and jewelry from that era, he began making them himself. After a year, he created a belt that met his satisfaction, a handmade piece that made you forget the passage of 70 years. This was the beginning of Zip and the belt.
Five years later, in 2000, HOLLYWOOD TRADING COMPANY (HTC) became a beloved belt brand worldwide, and it continues to this day.
