Studded belts were produced from the 1930s to the 1950s. They are now rare items, with only a few dozen appearing on the market each year.
In 1994, after going independent, owner ZIP STEVENSON discovered the perfect studded belts to go with denim through his buying trips across America.
However, he couldn't acquire enough to meet customer demand in terms of size, quantity, or condition.
So, using the tools and jewelry of the time, he began making them. After one year, he completed a belt that met his standards, with a handcrafted feel that made you forget the 70 years that had passed. This was the beginning of ZIP and the belt.
Five years later, in 2000, HOLLYWOOD TRADING COMPANY (HTC) became a beloved belt brand worldwide and continues to be so today.
