US Military Medical Corps effects bag, manufactured June 2, 1950.

A drawstring bag used in hospitals and other facilities run by the US Department of Health.

Effect bags currently on the market have a stencil of the Medical Caduceus emblem, but this is a deadstock early model without a stencil that is not normally available.


It is larger than later models and has a long strap, so it can be worn over the shoulder. There is a waterproof fabric divider on the inside.

The item was found wrapped in twine in a wooden box in a military warehouse in Texas. It had a paper label that is not normally visible.

This item combines rarity with ease of use.
