This 1960s COMFY Outdoor Garment down jacket was made by Seattle-based long-established quilting manufacturer SEATTLE QUILT MFG. CO.

The outer material is 100% nylon, and the padding is all down filled, as indicated. Like outdoor wear of the time, it is a full-fledged specification that prioritizes warmth.

This piece combines a classic diamond quilted body with a striking real fur collar.
The fur collar gives the jacket a sophisticated, urban feel, even though it's suitable for the outdoors.

The front zipper uses a spring-loaded Crown Zipper Zipper. It's an automatic zipper with a built-in spring and locking mechanism, a genuine specification seen in outdoor workwear from before the 1960s. The sleeve cuffs feature ribbed inner cuffs to prevent cold air from entering. The back waist is contoured, creating a beautiful, three-dimensional silhouette reminiscent of the 1960s.
