1940s US Navy M-43 Deck Hook Jacket.

This is a representative piece of clothing from the war period, adopted in the latter half of 1943 and issued starting the following year in 1944.

This item is attractive for its unique details, such as the hook on the front that gives it a unique presence, the texture and exquisite color of the jungle cloth, and the stencil on the back.

This particular item is a very rare 7-hook design, with one more hook than usual at the hem.

The ribs have been replaced and some repairs have been made, but the piece is in very good condition with the stencil still visible on the back.

The wool liner is also in good condition with no damage. The size is 38, which is a good size, although many of these are larger. A rare and special item.
