Stud belts were produced from the 1930s to the 1950s. Now, they are rare items, with only dozens appearing on the market each year.
In 1994, after going independent, owner ZIP STEVENSON discovered the best belt for denim, a stud belt, through buying trips across the United States. However, he couldn't acquire enough to meet customer demand in terms of size, quantity, or condition. So, he started working with tools and jewelry from that era, and after one year, he created a belt with a handmade feel that satisfied him and made him forget 70 years of time. This was the beginning of ZIP and the belt.
Five years later, in 2000, HOLLYWOOD TRADING COMPANY (HTC) became a beloved belt brand around the world and continues to be so today. HTC prides itself on being one of the few MADE IN USA brands and will continue to uphold its unchanging handmade feel.
