Studded belts produced between the 1930s and 1950s are now rare items, with only a few dozen appearing on the market each year.
In 1994, after going independent, owner ZIP STEVENSON discovered studded belts, which he considered the best match for denim, through buying trips across the United States.
However, he couldn't acquire enough in terms of size, quantity, or condition to meet customer demand.
So, he began making them himself, using tools and jewelry from that era. After a year, he created a handmade belt that met his standards, one that made you forget the passage of 70 years. This was the beginning of ZIP and his belts.
Five years later, in 2000, HOLLYWOOD TRADING COMPANY (HTC) became a beloved belt brand worldwide, as it remains today.
HTC prides itself on being one of the few MADE IN USA / Made in Los Angeles, CA. brands, and will continue its unchanging handmade craftsmanship into the future.
