Studded belts were produced from the 1930s to the 1950s. Today, these rare items appear on the market only a few dozen times a year.
In 1994, after going independent, owner ZIP STEVENSON discovered studded belts—the perfect complement to denim—through his travels across America.
However, the quantity, sizes, and condition available were not enough to meet customer demand.
So, he began handcrafting belts using the tools and jewelry from that era. After a year, he created a belt that met his standards, one that had a handmade feel that made you forget 70 years had passed. This was the beginning of ZIP and his belts.
Five years later, in 2000, HOLLYWOOD TRADING COMPANY (HTC) became a beloved belt brand worldwide, as it remains today.
