【Product Description】
A vintage American-made denim work apron, likely dating from around the 1940s to 1950s.
Although it is an UNKNOWN piece with no brand markings, it retains a strong sense of classic American workwear with its dark navy denim fabric and simple, practical construction.
Two long vertical tool pockets are positioned on the chest, one on each side. Furthermore, it features a very distinctive three-pocket design with a pentagonal patch pocket at the waist. Each pocket opening is reinforced with white stitching, which also provides a nice contrast against the dark indigo.
Metal eyelets are used at the neck and on both sides, threaded with natural cotton cords for a classic detail. Its structure, free of unnecessary embellishments, also conveys the character of a work apron made as actual workwear rather than a fashion item.
The fabric still retains a strong indigo color and is dark overall. The partial fading, color loss, and napped texture of the fabric surface are also appealing characteristics unique to old denim.
There are some visible marks on the back that appear to be paint, but even this contributes to the atmosphere unique to workwear that has actually been used over many years. Further wear is expected to create even more pronounced aging effects.
Unlike vintage denim pants or jackets, work aprons, which were treated as consumables at the time, are not particularly common today.
It is a piece with a strong presence, suitable not only for practical use but also for shop displays or collections.
