【Product Description】

Introducing a vintage 1970s gooseneck floor lamp from Fagerhults, a long-established lighting manufacturer from Sweden. This is the Germ, a long-selling masterpiece model designed by Anders Pehrson, a master of the Nordic lighting world. Its pop and futuristic silhouette unique to the Space Age era is charming, and it is a highly rare product that was once handled by the prestigious Yamagiwa in Japan, making it extremely difficult to obtain today.
The exterior is unified with a glossy black resin material, and the combination of a plump, round eyeball-shaped shade and a circular base creates an outstanding retro-modern atmosphere. The upper part of the post, which is the biggest feature, has an adjustable specification, and is covered with a flexible bellows tube, making it a gooseneck (flexible arm) structure, so you can freely and smoothly control the direction and height of the light. Of course, it can be used as a reading lamp that intensively illuminates the hands or a task light when doing desk work, and if you use the shade as an uplight by pointing it at the wall or ceiling, it can flexibly play as a luxurious indirect lighting that gently wraps the space. At the base of the shade, it is equipped with a slide-on switch that can be smartly turned ON/OFF, and the slit-shaped heat dissipation hole on the back becomes a nice accent to the design.

Although there are minor scratches and signs of use due to long-term storage and aging, it maintains a good condition as a vintage item and a unique gloss. Of course, it is a lifetime vintage lamp that combines design and functionality, exuding an overwhelming presence as a standout item for modern interiors, as well as Mid-Century Pop, Space Age, and Nordic vintage styles.
