【Product Description】

A wooden bowl carved from a single piece of wood, made by the Hutu tribe of Rwanda before the 1800s.
Two original repairs are visible, where cracks from years of use were mended with iron plates from that era.
This is not merely a repair for damage, but a unique African cultural reinforcement technique, believed to imbue tools with soul and allow them to be passed down through generations.

The lathe marks running around the circumference, the deep dark brown patina on the inside, and the large patch at the center bottom all tell the story of a life spent handling fermented drinks and grains.

This is not merely a folk art piece, but a tangible artifact of ethnic craftsmanship from before the 19th century, where ritual, daily life, and faith intertwined.

Whether as an interior decoration or an art piece, it is a one-of-a-kind item with a presence that cannot be recreated in modern times.
