[Product Description]
This is a TRUJILLO'S Chimayo Purse from around the 1940s.
A rare item made from hand-woven Chimayo blanket fabric.
It's a rare Velcro type. What's even better is that it has a Bell Trading badge attached to it like a concho, which seems to have been used by all the owners.
[TRUJILLO'S]
Along with ORTEGA'S and CENTINELLA, TRUJILLO'S is a representative workshop and long-established weaving shop in the Chimayo region of New Mexico, USA, that weaves using traditional techniques that have been handed down for generations.
Widely known as a specialty store for Chimayo blankets, each blanket is handmade by weavers living in Chimayo and the surrounding area, and is a work of art created as a cottage industry.
Bell Trading Post was an Indian jewelry workshop located in Albuquerque, New Mexico from 1932 to the 1960s. It was famous for producing pieces aimed at tourists in the Fred Harvey Style.
Although it was acquired in 1972, the company remains well-known and extremely popular in the United States.
